"Wow- this location was everything we wanted. My husband and 2 fur babies needed a weekend to recharge and relax and that’s exactly what Chris’ place afforded. I loved the coziness of the cabin, how spacious it was and all the fun wall hangings (there’s a beautiful quilt hung up in the main bedroom!). Chris himself is a giving and just wonderful person. "Great secluded location but close to town. Great views. By 10 am everyday the back patio was in the shade and we spent a good bit of time just enjoying the great weather and wonderful views of the East Range. In the afternoon, we spent on the patio grilling. In the evening we were able to turn off the lights and not have any light pollution; then have incredible views of the Milky Way. We will stay here again!!"

"The house was spacious and had lots of character. Our group was 5 adult men and we had plenty of space to stretch out. Location was great because we were very private with great views … but still only about 5 minutes from restaurants, grocery, and other amenities. All the large beds were very comfortable – the bunks not so much for an adult man … but overall still great. "

"Quaint mountain cabin overlooking the river and lights of the small mountain village. Within easy drive to town, hiking areas. An hour from Durango. Very quiet and beautiful views. Had problems with mice or would have rated higher - scratching noises at night and feces on stairs during stay. Experienced healthcare due to a riding accident and very quality care. VIP worked with us to extend our stay which was very helpful due to circumstances."

"What a beautiful home in the woods. They have everything you need. I was surprised they even have a pressure cooker. The house was clean. The communication with the manager and owner was on top. We had a problem with the water heater that was resolved immediately and we had hot water in no time. We really enjoyed our time in the property. Definitely recommend this place if you’re going to Pagosa Springs. I’ll definitely will look for this property again. Love the place. "

"Staff in ALL areas of this property were super friendly. I wish i had know ahead of time the difference in the "classic" rooms versus the other options. The classic rooms are in a very old building with creaky floors and noisy ac/heat. The walls are super thin and you can hear neighbors talking like they are in the same room with you. It would have been worth it to pay the big jump up in rates to get in a better building. "
