Butterfly Lodge, Cosy December get away in this snug converted rural cart house

9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (8)
"Had a great time, the cottage is lovely. This could be the perfect location for you, but I has a couple of issues that may not affect you. 1) The ceiling in the shower room is too low for very tall people to stand up straight. Orton Hall, and the Royalist Suite are stunning and just next level opulence. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need, but we hardly used it, as the George pub is literally 5 minutes walk and the food fab, with a very friendly landlors and staff. The grounds of the Hall are great, and, despite the damp...

Beautifully appointed cottage in extensive grounds

9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (86)
"We had a week’s stay at Orton Hall in Nell Gwyn Cottage. The front room and bedroom were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped, but it all felt a bit dated. The grounds were lovely, but unfortunately it rained every day we stayed there, so we couldn’t really explore them. However, we did discover a chocolate factory in the village which we very much enjoyed, as well as a very tasty cafe for a full English breakfast nearby. It’s centrally located for visits to both the Yorkshire Dales...
