"Pooley Bridge is one of my favourite places on earth. I've been going since 1982 and on that occassion I had a pint or two in the Pooley Bridge Inn. I've stayed before here and it's great to know that it's still as fabulous as it's alwasy been. Room was beautiful, balcony was lovely to have. Food is outstanding, the staff are all so helpful and full of joy. It has such a positive vibe, fills you with energy and also relaxes too. 10 out of 10"

"After reading a review in a paper we decided to try for ourselves. The George and Dragon staff were so welcoming and friendly easy to talk to and very helpful. Odd as when I booked it indicated that there was limited availability. The hotel is pretty basic. The room was clean though and decent breakfast. This has slightly dented my trust in the accuracy of details provided on Expedia. I had been travelling around the north of England and this was the least value for money."

The house was beautiful, plenty of room for everyone, although to be honest we spend most of our time in the cosy but large kitchen and adjacent games room. Many period features allowed you to really experience how they used to love. Kirby Stephen high street was a stones throw away, making it convenient for local shops and pubs. Would highly recommend for a large family get together"
