Fairmont Peace Hotel on the Bund

5.0 star property
9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (990)
"Excellent hotel with old world service. Excellent breakfast. The food at the "French" restaurant was awful. Food was not as advertised. The charcoal grilled veal rack had never been near any charcoal and was tough. Same for the rack of lamb. They should either hire a new chef or close the restaurant "

Our six nights in the hotel was comfortable, only issue was there was a couple of days the weather was very cold, but the receptionist gave us their own heater that was meant for themselves. Generally clean and comfy. A 10 min walk to Yu Garden and they have a shuttle bus to some tourist attractions. Staff are friendly and helpful."
