"Excellent five star hotel. "

"First of all let me say that we really enjoyed our stay. The room was just fine, the view was amazing, the pool was good and the restaurant (we only had the breakfast buffet) was very good. The location couldn't have been much better due to it's proximity to the markets. The hotel staff were all excellent and we were very happy with the price. The only negative things I have to say are some minor condition complaints. Our room needed to have the carpet cleaned and the sofa needed it's upholstery...

"The Ming Garden is located very near many things. The staff were friendly and helpful. The value for the money spent was excellent."

"The Borneo Eagle is an exclusive five star hotel - newly launched. The staff are excellent, facilities good - the only issue we had was the plethora of sand flies which caused a lot of issues sitting outside. We talked to the Manager about this and understand a machine is being shipped to deal with this issue - also the beach on the offside of the hotel was covered with plastic bottles and rubbish, which should be cleared on a daily basis to support the high quality nature of the hotel."
