"What sold me on choosing this place was that they had a restaurant downstairs. We had been driving literally all day and didn’t want to venture out in the cold with hungry tired kids. I recommend making a reservation to the DWNTR to make it easy for everyone because it gets crowded in peak hours. The food is great for shareables and they offer a variety of kinds of foods. "Beautiful, historic building with interesting architectural details, but old, and showing its age not only in appearance, but in its operational state. Tiny guest rooms and lack of exhaust fans contribute to inadequate airflow, for example, which lends to visible moisture issues. Little things like the funky in-room TV setup and light bulbs being burned out add to an atmosphere of mild neglect. "Walkable to Old Town, downtown and convenient to lots of other activities. We loved that we could ride our bikes directly from the casita to the Paseo del Bosque Trail and get in a nice 20+ mile ride without having to drive to a trailhead. The place was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Had a great time!"
