"We arrived on the 4:30 p.m. flight into Dominica out of Miami. Once we went through customs and the rental car process it was getting dark. Just a heads up, when it gets dark it goes to lights out quickly. Chris, the owner, had sent me an email with information, I realized to late that I had forgot to click the link with the complete driving directions.Sorry Gweneth, the manager, for many calls when we kept driving by the Villa.After a long day of travel, we arrived and had no provisions for dinner. I had reviewed restaurants ahead and knew POZ was nearby. When I called he was gracious to cook us a meal yet that evening. We also recommend driving a few minutes down the road to the village of Calibishie which is easy to navigate, here there are several dining options, if you should find yourself in the same situation as we did.O & A market is right at the corner of the Villa Street which had plenty of provisions, very clean, neat & organized store.The Villa's open air with inside louvers is on a very private setting. We enjoyed many adventures around the island but saved a few days to relax and enjoy the amenities of the Villa.One evening we hired a chef to come cook a 5-course meal. The Villa setting worked perfect. We choose to sit on the stools positioned by the open-air kitchen setting which allowed us to chat with the chef while she prepared our delicious farm to table meal.If we should return to the island someday Villa Vista will be our top choice!"

"Wonderful two-week stay! Beautiful spot and Nichi is a fabulous host. The home is in a beautiful location and has everything you need. Sleeping on the lanai was awesome. "Incredible view and property. Close to nearby town, gin distillery and beach. The place was huge and exceptionally clean. The support staff was there to greet us and provided transportation and commentary about the island and its resources. The view from the veranda was incredible and the sunrise is spectacular. There is a store 400 meters walking from the residence. The town is 1km and worth exploring. See the islands many beautiful natural sites. The roads are in good shape, rent a car if you wish or use Pascal to get you around and learn from his commentary. Conroy the site manger is kind and prompt. Enjoy a “jelly” coconut while there - it is different from what you expect from an “American” coconut. "

"Myself and 5 other family members stayed at this location for 10 days. The view alone is enough to book the place! It is absolutely stunning. Every bedroom and the dining/living room have doors that open up to one of the two terraces. You have a prime view of Hodges bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Just along the side of the house is a trail that leads down to Hodges bay where you can swim in the bay and/or the Mamelabou River. The trail is mostly made of natural stairs so can be tough for those who are not as able bodied. We found that the beach part of the bay and the entrance of the river is rather shallow which made it very nice to relax in. There were some days that had more sargassum than others, but that’s just the ocean for ya! The house is absolutely lovely and well maintained. The owners have done a wonderful job at furnishing things for their visitors. They even provide toiletries that you wouldn’t typically receive at a hotel. Razors/shavers were provided, toothpaste tubes, bug bite relief products, towels for the beach, etc. The kitchen is fully stocked with appliances and dishes needed for cooking, baking, eating. The owners are very kind people, as well as, their property manager Kelvin. Kelvin was great to work with. We had a couple incidents happen (none at the fault of anyone, just normal maintenance) and Kelvin was always very helpful and ensured fixes were taken care of. Their driver, Harvey, is the best on the island, if needed! 10/10!!!!"
