"We arrived on the 4:30 p.m. flight into Dominica out of Miami. Once we went through customs and the rental car process it was getting dark. Just a heads up, when it gets dark it goes to lights out quickly. Chris, the owner, had sent me an email with information, I realized to late that I had forgot to click the link with the complete driving directions.Sorry Gweneth, the manager, for many calls when we kept driving by the Villa.After a long day of travel, we arrived and had no provisions for dinner. I had reviewed restaurants ahead and knew POZ was nearby. When I called he was gracious to cook us a meal yet that evening. We also recommend driving a few minutes down the road to the village of Calibishie which is easy to navigate, here there are several dining options, if you should find yourself in the same situation as we did.O & A market is right at the corner of the Villa Street which had plenty of provisions, very clean, neat & organized store.The Villa's open air with inside louvers is on a very private setting. We enjoyed many adventures around the island but saved a few days to relax and enjoy the amenities of the Villa.One evening we hired a chef to come cook a 5-course meal. The Villa setting worked perfect. We choose to sit on the stools positioned by the open-air kitchen setting which allowed us to chat with the chef while she prepared our delicious farm to table meal.If we should return to the island someday Villa Vista will be our top choice!"

"Great location. Fabulous views. Fantastic little community of Paix Bouche. We are birders/photographers so the description in the property description of seeing the endemic Sisserou parrots up close and personal sold me. Although according to bird expert Dr. Birdy these are at Syndicate. But we did see up to 10 red-necked Amazon's in the Mango on property!! This was fantastic. The wildlife and Bird Life plants trees scenery was incredible.However the add was inaccurate. The pictures were old as the inside had been rearranged. The add mentioned a/c, BBQ and microwave and they were not to be found. Three fans provided air circulation. The entry to the property was a set of very steep stairs (mentioned) but no handrail. And with the dampness and rain you had to be very careful. The patio was muddy and there were no chairs. It was hard not to track mud inside. The inside had not been cleaned very well. We had to purchase supplies to do our own cleaning. The toilet seat was dirty. The shower was full of soap scum. There were holes in the screens, personal hygiene items left in the bathroom. However...once we spruced the place up ourselves it was quite comfortable. The inside is nice in appearance. The view was stunning. The community full of friendly wonderful people. Everyone greets you.Mers Snakette nearby was great. A wonderful woman. It was hard to find water in the village though.If you are into nature visit the nature island. You will love it. "

"Myself and 5 other family members stayed at this location for 10 days. The view alone is enough to book the place! It is absolutely stunning. Every bedroom and the dining/living room have doors that open up to one of the two terraces. You have a prime view of Hodges bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Just along the side of the house is a trail that leads down to Hodges bay where you can swim in the bay and/or the Mamelabou River. The trail is mostly made of natural stairs so can be tough for those who are not as able bodied. We found that the beach part of the bay and the entrance of the river is rather shallow which made it very nice to relax in. There were some days that had more sargassum than others, but that’s just the ocean for ya! The house is absolutely lovely and well maintained. The owners have done a wonderful job at furnishing things for their visitors. They even provide toiletries that you wouldn’t typically receive at a hotel. Razors/shavers were provided, toothpaste tubes, bug bite relief products, towels for the beach, etc. The kitchen is fully stocked with appliances and dishes needed for cooking, baking, eating. The owners are very kind people, as well as, their property manager Kelvin. Kelvin was great to work with. We had a couple incidents happen (none at the fault of anyone, just normal maintenance) and Kelvin was always very helpful and ensured fixes were taken care of. Their driver, Harvey, is the best on the island, if needed! 10/10!!!!"

"Nixson and his mother are lovely. He took time to make sure I was comfortable, and kindly shared his knowledge of the plants in his garden with me Fridge, hot shower, comfy bed, nearby shops, atm, restaurants Some mozzies but there are nets so I slept great I went to Batibou beach nearby, about a 1hr walk, or 10 min drive. My jaw was on the floor 😍 I enjoyed my stay. Thank you"
