"Health and safety issues with the sauna. Shower pipes in the changing rooms are leaking bad. In the first room they had to put a portable heater in the room because the heating wasn't working? I feel so sorry for the staff. Their holding Thier heads up high to a hotel that needs a complete refurbishment. How they can charge this amount for the state of this hotel is beyond me . I hope the main owners read this and go pay this hotel a visit. And to thank they're employees for the wonderful work...

"We had a great time at The Carnoustie hotel in a deluxe golf view room with balcony. Some things were a little worn but it didn’t spoil our stay. Balcony was lovely to sit out on and the view over the course was amazing. There were some renovations going in but they didn’t affect us. Staff were amazing and couldn't be bettered. Loved our stay"

"On arrival greeted well and check in seamless. Lift to room was in need of some tlc. The room was initially ok without doing a four in a bed style check. On returning in the evening when i went for s shower the complementary body wash had been topped up with water not what you'd expect at all. During the night the lights within the wardrobe kept going on and off the bulbs making odd buzzing sounds. I did report this on leaving but the room attendant didnt appear to understand me. "I stayed here one night and it was perfectly nice, a bit of a maze and a small bathroom, but that's pretty standard for old buildings. The room was comfy and the location was convenient, and it was a very good price (especially in the off season). It's got some quirks, though. Like I said, it had a small bathroom and shower with nowhere to put your toiletries in the shower, so I had to put them on the ground, which was a bit tricky in the narrow stall. "Beautiful room, though no fridge but kept window open. Toilet rad boiling but maintenance fixed this immediately.would stay again but maybe a quieter room further back from road.
