This place was both of these and then some!Coral Bay Harbor View is such a great villa on the east end of St. John right off of the main road. Just a short 15 minute (6 miles) drive from Cruz Bay. "Lovely well appointed property in a quiet location (you will need a car) as it's at least mile west of the location on the VRBO app.Diane was a wonderful host.Also a shame the neighbours trees are grown to obscure the sea view."

"The host lacked communication with the renter. They did not call, text, or email us. We had no idea how to get to the property. We almost took the ferry back to St. Thomas and would have disputed the night we rented. Thank goodness the nearby hotel helped us contact the host."

"Clean, large deck that overlooked the bay with the auto ferry, beds were comfortable, bathroom looked recently update, and AC in bedrooms worked great. Walkable to Cruz Bay but you are dealing with a steep hill so you will need to be able to handle a steep incline for about 30 yards, walk in from the bay near auto ferry. It had beach chairs and coolers for use as well. Would recommend for a clean but fairly simple place with a water view."

"We enjoyed our time at Lion's Gate and the property had all the necessities. The hill is a bit of a challenge the first time up, but after that we did fine both driving and walking it. Location to Red Hook and the ferries is excellent, but with that you may also get noise from the late-night revelers below. We did have to close the windows due to that and then one night of rain. We ate on the terrace watching the harbor activity and enjoying the breeze. A new mattress/box spring may be in order...
