"The hotel was great! Clean, well run, safe. Even had a laundry room and continental breakfast like some of the larger chains. Great lodging in a budget…half the price of hotels in nearby La Crosse. The only negative was that hotel cleaning staff, eager to get going on their daily chores knocked on my door and opened it at 7am, waking me from an otherwise uneventful deep sleep. "

"This is a cute little place to stay and became our base camp for a hiking weekend in the area. There were many things to be impressed by. We enjoy touring old mansions and so we were delighted when we came across the Alexander Mansion while doing a google search of nearby bed and breakfasts (We live in Minneapolis). The check-in with Richard was fun and easy. Richard provided several dinner recommendations and made our reservation once we decided where we wanted to go.
