Perfect honeymoon retreat

"This was an amazing place, cozy, comfortable, beautiful surroundings, hot tub, all the amenities, clean as a whistle. We got snowed in, the owners gave us lots of warning about the incoming weather and checked on us to make sure we didn't need anything. Such a great getaway! We're going to come back every year for our anniversary!"

"Sarah was extremely helpful and flexible! As we were snowed out for our original weekend and she allowed us to reschedule due to weather. The place was beautiful, tasteful, immaculate! Just absolutely darling! Having grown up in Salem myself, I’ve now found a place to stay comfortably with my family and have plenty of the things that I need including a place for my pets if I need it! The host has really gone above and beyond to make your stay seem as if you are staying at grandma's cottage or home away from home with the extras provided. It was also very clean and comfortable. "The house was decorated very nice. The kitchen was fully stocked with pans, dishes andutensils! The shower caddy had a hairball and under the sink was disorganized and gross. Overall it was great.This would be amazing in the summer time!"

Best stay of 10 day road trip thru IL and MO

"We stayed a few days in Steeleville, MO, during our Rte 66 road trip thru MO. Our host was absolutely wonderful! We ended up arriving later in the evening, in the dark! She actually contacted us, providing directions and maintained contact with us until we arrived. She made sure we had everything we needed upon arrival... even a bottle of wine! With her vast knowledge of the area she was able to provide so many excellent suggestions for food, shopping and site seeing. We LOVED the quaint cabin off the river! It was so nice to sit outside on the patio with a glass of wine, enjoying the beautiful view and the sounds of nature after a long day of sightseeing. It was awesome to have so many different animals visiting the property and so cool to see all the turtles basking in the sun. We even spent a few hours fishing on the river right there on the property (had to buy fishing license and equipment 1st). Susan is the BEST Host ever! Thank you for such a great time! Wish we could have stayed a few more days! Hope to visit again!"

"Cozy cabin to get out of the cold and soak in the quiet life. No cell service with ATT but wifi was good enough for wifi calling and video calls for quite literally remote working "

"This location was right where we wanted to be. Mother Nature created an event that was far beyond their control but they made accomadations well beyond our expectations. Itvwas good to see a family come together in a time need. Will definitely be booking here again. "
