La Roche-Posay is a little village located in the centre of the French region of La Vienne. Its world fame is due to its Selenium-rich spring water, which is particularly beneficial to the skin. The legend of the spring has it that Bertrand Du Guesclin, high constable under the reign of Charles V, discovered the La Roche-Posay springs on his way home from Spanish campaigns at the end of the 14th century. He stopped at the spring to quench his thirst. His horse, which suffered from eczema, plunged into the water and came out cured.

"Loved it here! We want to come back! We stayed in a tree house and it was the perfect size for our family of 5 and our cats. We loved the pool, activities, and playground. We want to come back during the summer to do the zip lining and other activities in the warmer weather. I wish there was more food options. It was also nice to have the wifi in the lounge area by the pool. We loved walking around and seeing the different accommodations."

"The moment we got in to the house we felt at home. Alexandra is the best and will make sure you are not another guest but part of her family. She will give you all the tips to visit around and secret spots that will blow your mind (what an adventure finding them!). The breakfast is very good and the fresh croissants are to die for :) The house is INCREDIBLE and you feel like you are in a museum with unpredictable pieces. Be aware if you arrive on Monday all restaurants around are closed, so...
