However, the restaurants could improve attentiveness to lunch and dining options when serving. The food was okay, but I hope to see some flavor enhancements. "Our initial greeting was nonexistent. We arrived late at night and the front desk lady was apparently doing something with the man at the desk. But there was no recognition of our presence. Neither one was talking and the man was looking at his phone. This went on for 5” when my husband said, “we are here to check in,” The lady told him she would get to us after she finished working with her colleague. Still, no greeting. Another 7” went by, and eventually she gave him some papers and he left. Only then did she say “good evening can I help you?” No apology nor thank you for waiting, and obviously no smile. We checked in finally, but we will not be coming back. Also, the valet man refused to park our van. "

"The view of the Bay/water front was beautiful. But if you were looking for the beach you need to go further up or down the coast. The hotel is clean, staff very friendly and the breakfast was more than just coffee & bread. You had fruit, egg, sausage, pastries and so much more to eat. This area was very walkable. As you walked the city the dining options were plentiful from Pizza to Chinese to local dining. Public transportation was easily found. The only disappointing aspect of the city was the Graffiti that was everywhere. But we enjoyed our time in Valparaiso. "
