"We loved our week at Cabanas Henua Iti. Tiare, her family and staff are friendly, helpful and kind. The location is on the outskirts of town, but it's possible to walk down the hill and Tiare is there to help arrange a taxi if needed. Lots of things within hiking distance - for reasonably active people. We had booked some guided tours and we also rented a car from Tiare for a couple of days to explore on our own. "The cabin was ok and had a fairly well-equipped kitchenette. It's about a 15 walk to the downtown area in a sort of isolated area, so I tried not walk home late (but taxis are easy). The owner was helpful but not friendly, if that makes sense. She picked me up from the airport and drove me through town, and even gave me a ride to the laundry to bring my clothes. "Can’t find a more idyllic location on Rapa Nui! The Pacific Ocean is literally across the roadway - great views from the cabin bedrooms and balcony on the top floor. Just a few hundred feet walk from the Ahu Tahai moai. In the heart of Hanga Roa with many shops and places to eat within a relatively short walk.
