"We travelled to Raaya in Jan 2025 for our anniversary for 5 nights and our stay was amazing! The Raaya staff we always friendly, accommodating and wanting to help us. There is a selection of different food available and activities / excursions that can be arranged. A memorable and plansant stay and would definitely come again. Special thanks to Dana our island host who was always available to help and made our stay worry free. We had a smooth arrival and departure via seaplane. Thanks to Jahid for providing excellent house keeping, the friendly staff at the dive centre for our excursions and also staff at the restaurants Himashun, Chanchal, Suriya and Sharif for great shuttle service on the island. We had lovely sunny weather and were told there were some rainy days prior to arrival. We stayed in a water villa which was lovely and peaceful, regularly cleaned. We would definitely recommend this island of paradise and hope to return! Thank you. "

"We had expected the breath taking physical beauty of the island, but were really amazed by the caring and professional staff throughout our stay: from the transfer assistant at arrival in Male, to the villa host who organized our meals and excursions, to the culinary director overseeing the meal preparation at the 6 restaurants, to the bar tenders, servers, and cleaners. Our villa on the beach was spacious and comfortable but not extravagant. The food and alcoholic offerings were at premium level. There was live music and trivia nights. Our package included a dolphin tour (we saw 5 of them about 30 minutes away from the island) and a photo session. The resort has its own app with all the necessary information for your stay. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the resort. "

"We did Joali for a 15yr anniversary trip. It is a long trip from North America but well worth it! This place is heaven. The website is actually really understated, it’s hard to describe how beautiful and luxurious things are once you arrive. You get a personal butler to meet all of your needs and arrange things. The rooms are huge and gorgeously appointed. All the staff are amazing and the food was absolutely phenomenal. I do gluten-free and they were able to customize anything. I wanted on the menu. The scuba diving is great and the equipment is all brand new and top-notch, including giving your own dive computer. There’s amazing water sports, including a private yacht to Charter, Sea-Doo and all kinds of manual water sports. We played Padel and tennis. Highly highly recommend."

"If you arrive at Malé Airport, you’ll need to book a seaplane through You&Me, which will take you to the island. The resort has a dedicated seaplane lounge with drinks and snacks, and a resort rep will meet you on arrival and departure. At You&Me, we were warmly welcomed with cold cloths and a welcome drink. The island is small; a buggy tour only takes a few minutes, and you can walk around it in about 15-20 minutes. We stayed in Dolphin Villa with pool (number 509), with direct access to the sea and a private pool to cool off afterward—perfect for sunset views and photos. Villas on the opposite side face sunrise but don’t have pools. The room was great and cleaned twice daily by excellent staff. The only downside was the loud air conditioning; the fan above the bed wasn’t comfortable to leave on overnight. We recommend booking all-inclusive, covering most restaurants except H20. Some items aren’t part of all-inclusive, so be sure to ask. There are five restaurants: • Sands – Main restaurant, no reservation needed; set menu with daily specials, open for breakfast and dinner. • Green Carpet – Poolside lunch and drinks, no reservation needed. • La Pasta – Italian food, great pizza and tiramisu; reservations required. • Rising Sun – Teppanyaki with a chef cooking in front of you; fun and delicious. • H20 – Underwater restaurant with amazing views. There’s plenty to do, including free scuba lessons, kayak rentals, and water sports. Overall, a magical place!"
