"last minute booking… what a surprise! Beautiful hotel and location, excellent service. Some of the hotel is a bit dated but was nostalgic for me. Kinda like Hawaii 5-0 old series feel. The view was incredible!!!! Will be back when the wisteria is in bloom across the street as well as to enjoy the beach! "

"The hotel is located on a mountain close to the center of town. It was very easy to go to the castle and garden by car. The breakfast was awesome and the room was very large and spacious. The view from our room was amazing, looking out over the city. "

"The perfect place to live out any dreams of being in Rurouni Kenshin. In fact they shot one scene from the movie (a bridge where Sanoske and Kenshin duel) two or three buildings down. The ryokan serves a traditional breakfast and dinner, they make your futon for you, and lend you a yukata. In front of the place is a little river in the center of a historical district (Kurashiki Binkan). The staff are very friendly and accommodating."
