"The view & sounding beach area is fantastic. Beautiful spot to wake up to! Our room needed a really good vacuum, especially behind bed side tables etc. The outdoor furniture on our deck was really dirty as well as the tiles. Nothing that a water blast wouldn't fix. The shower curtain is well passed it's used by date. Only place for it is the bin. Daily room service doesn't include making beds, which we found strange. Overall, it's all very tired looking. We had to wait over an hour for our pudding and when we raised this it was dismissed and told we didn’t wait that long. "The Motel itself and staff were excellent. The room was really clean and comfortable for the two of us. Pool and hot tub were great. The shower was fab! A little bit of noise in the mornings from the road but nothing much to worry about. Easy walking distance to the shops, restaurants and pier. Side note- was nothing to do with the motel and they have complained about it but one of the nights there was a group of youths on the beach with their cars and loud music which went on till 4/5am....

"My deluxe suite room, with spa bath, was just lovely. The view from the deck was of lovely trees, and you could see birds playing on the lawn. The whole room was spotless and furnishings were new and comfortable, especially the bed and pillows. The staff very friendly and helpful. Only 2km to Kerikeri shops and the weekend market was in walking distance. Would recommend."

"Waipu Cove is a wonderful area with a great restaurant. The apt is clean, probably new updated, but we did not feel very welcomed. Lots of written guidelines but probably this is necessary with guests on tight ground"
