Now it's a snorkel site, and an impressive one. Free dive about 7 meters down and you can swim around and through the vessel, coming across plenty of colorful marine life and bar supplies left just the way they were!

It's an easy boat ride (10 minutes) from the pier on Mathiveri Island.

"My wife and I had a great time at Kuramathi, we all had an unforgettable experience esp given it was to one of our first resorts. There was a lot to do which we didnt do, lol. We had enough time to walk around, go at the beach, go at the pools and have juices and food on the fly. That was enough to keep us occupied during the day and the jacuzzi in the room was enough to keep us occupied during the night after a long day of activities. Definitely would recommend."

"I stayed in Diamond Athuruga in late October with my family. This is a small island and it is perfect if you wish to have a quiet week or two of rest. We loved the food, the beaches and the people working there. Special mention to Mohammed who always remembered our drinks, Amun’s who welcomed us to the resort, the chefs working to prepare the delicious food, Rasheed and Gabriel, one of the staff members there. "The resort is immaculate and the staff are incredible. super friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The island is beautiful and lots of good snorkelling spots just off the beach. Rooms are immaculate, and if your lucky and leave the decking door open you may even get a wee visit from some of the local wildlife! In short could not recommend this resort highly enough, go and you will not regret it."

"I should've been did this review in Sept 2021 when went for our honeymoon Rm 262. I seem to can't get this place out of my head and want to go back. Hands down from beginning to end, the staff met every need and made sure we were good. They were excellent! Very welcoming and friendly. The food was really good and our over water villa was beautiful. I heard they are doing some renovations. When it's complete we will definitely revisit. "

"The resort was wonderful, the staff were great, food was good and healthy (aside from the desert bar, haha). My only request to improve the stay is to limit the areas that people can smoke, it was very hard to find somewhere that was free of cigarette smoke."

"I was debating between several islands within the Maldives. I am SOOOO happy my family and I choose to stay with The W. "Safari Island was paradise for us, with easy access to the reef for snorkelling. Facilities were well spread out. With more than 100 guests, the resort experience felt very private. The food was exceptional and 'half board' (full international buffet breakfast and dinner) was enough for us, with our own fruit and snacks. "Perfect little gem of a resort. Delicious food, with locally-sourced options at every meal (don't miss the fish tacos!). Warm and friendly personal service. Diving is exceptional - instructors are patient with beginners and offered bespoke itineraries for qualified divers. "The resort strives to preserve the island environment - avoiding plastic, reducing waste, making its own water and supplies. An incredible local community works to make that possible. "We stayed for 1 night in an overwater villa - the room was amazing, spacious and luxurious - we loved the bathroom and amenities. The outside decking and access to the water was amazing, and the view to die for!"

"This was the most perfect place to stay. We had an overwater villa and the views from our bed each morning were spectacular. All of the staff were helpful and super friendly. The food was delicious and plentiful. We ate at all the restaurants and enjoyed all the bars. Beach was clean and loungers were plentiful. It was perfect we couldnt have asked for better."

"The resort provided just what we need to disconnect and recharge. 4-days in paradise. We booked a beach villa (sunset view) with private pool as well as all inclusive and this combination provided everything we needed. For transparency if you are susceptible to heat/humidity please note that the bathroom is open thus gets very hot and humid. Do request a floor fan ahead of your arrival to help offset the humidity. The staff are great and will provide. I do recommended this resort and will return in the future. "
