Found out that we had the entire chateau to ourselves for the night. My wife was afraid of ghosts but if there were any at Belmesnil, they were of the most welcoming and considerate kind. "A gem of a place in the vicinity of Mont St. Michel. The owner personally welcomed and took us to our suite which was spacious and luxurious.  The attention to detail of what it offered was extraordinary and the room was extremely quiet.  For breakfast, we had croissants and coffee-- the very best croissants in all of France and the coffee was superb! "We really enjoyed our stay at La Ferme. The grounds and the hotel itself are stunning. Good location... easy walking distance to town. Room was beautiful, we enjoyed the steam shower. The one thing that could be slightly improved for such a highly rated hotel was the service. The staff was very nice but it took 2 phone calls + 1 trip to the front desk to get a yoga mat in our room (the gym and pool are closed for renovations... annoying). No slippers in the room unless you request them. Only one...

"Charming little house that you can never imagine houses as many rooms as it does. Our room was on the top floor and accessible by elevator (thank god), since stairs were steep and narrow. It was spacious, bright and clean with modern amenities. A couple of quirks I will mention as warning for others.
