It isn't a modern hotel, so if you're looking for brand new, this isn't the place for you. We tried all three restaurants and all were great, and the spa was amazing. Between my long hair and my tall husband, we didn't have enough shampoo or body wash to share, and housekeeping noticed and left us extras. "This hotel is very nice but a bit further away from the main areas. We booked a superior room but the room we were given was very basic and quite surprised that Taj Palace had such basic rooms, probably the equivalent of a 2 or 3 star hotel. We complained and sure enough the manager apologised and upgraded us to a much nicer room. Breakfast was plentiful and excellent although a bit chaotic at times. Overall quite a lovely hotel. "
