"The hotel is dated but nice. I prefer the mountain view rooms as they have been updated recently. The beds are quite hard so the tatami mats are the better option. The onsen are very relaxing and my skin feels incredibly soft after each visit. The breakfast buffet has a good selection of both western and eastern style dishes. "

"Although not within close proximity to train station, which is what we'd have preferred, the hotel is just a short walk from a bus stop - there are two buses that can bring you there from the Miyako train station. Buses run regularly during the day - be sure to grab a bus schedule at the train station or the tourist information center situated right next door. "Very convenient if you have a car, but staff REALLY does not speak any English. That said, they do really try hard to help! Very friendly."
