It turns out that after intensive inspections after the recent earthquake, the building was determined to be unsafe. There were personal on the scene which transported us to a nearby hotel ( The Palace) which truned out great. "This hotel is a gem. Right at the airport but quiet. Shuttling seemed silly but we did it and it was perfect after a couple of long flights - do it! Our entire experience was incredible. We were on a layover to the Galapagos so it was a super short stay but well worth it. And the continental breakfast is actually an incredible breakfast buffet. Custom omelettes, juicer, pastries, fruit, you name it - they offered it. I highly recommend staying here."

"I have been staying at this hotel for years. It is In the middle of the city center so it’s easy to walk everywhere. The hotel is clean and safe. Rooms are comfortable. Staff is AMAZING! I love all staff but Christian in reception is the best! The breakfast buffet is excellent. I’ve been staying here for 10 years and wouldn’t change. "
