Best to get a lake view room. Classic decor. Rooms are clean too. Three floors no elevator. While the hotel has a picturesque lakeside restaurant that serves Chinese and some Western food for lunch and dinner, there're a lack of shops and restaurants in the area. "Moon Villa provided quite possibly the best customer service that I've ever had from a hotel in recent memory! They catered to our every need and offered excellent care from before arrival through departure. The resort is perfectly situated in the scenic part of Yangshou and just a few km from downtown (which is easily accessible by bike or free shuttle van. The rooms are new, modern, comfortable, and spacious. We are excited to go back Moon Villa and can't recommend it enough!"

"We had a very pleasant stay in Moondance hotel. The hotel workers are super friendly and helpful. The hotel is seated in the most scenic place in Yangshuo. The building and the environment combines the beauty of the traditional Chinese architectures and the luxurious comfort of a modern hotel. It is quiet and beautiful and comfortable. Their food is very delicious. We will not hesitate to book the same hotel if we travel here again. "

"I felt compelled to write a review due to the conflicting emotions. The service from the staff - the ayi maid and the waiter/concierge - was absolutely first class. The room was very comfortable and had a superb view. The food was also pretty good, just don't expect much from a bacon breakfast. However! The noise! At night the sounds of karaoke from the town bounce off the mountains and hit the hotel hard. At 6am the construction from the neighbouring hotels begins, even on a Sunday. And...
