The main noisemakers are chipmunks jumping on the roofs and munching on your fruits if you accidentally left it outside. Once I had a dinner there and I enjoyed the food. "Very good hotel, but they didn't have a room for us when we arrived, despite our having prepaid for it months in advance. Management dealt with it well by sending us to another hotel for one night. So, apart from causing us some anxiety, it was only a small glitch.. It's not in the center of things, but everything you'd wand to do is within a short, cheap tuk-tuk ride. Management is very helpful arranging these, and anything else you need. "

"Nice facility, our room was fairly unique with some fake rock. Our daughter's room had a cool outdoor bathtub. You get great use of two other Thambapanni resorts in the area. Rooms are large and interesting. Very musty. The air conditioner needed to be maintained to keep mildew out. Clothes drying rack, nice bathroom and good breakfast. Super accommodating staff. Unawatuna is a bit of a Russian tourist trap. Aggressive tuktuk drivers and merchants. Jungle Beach nice but crowded. The Sea Waves...
