"This is my favorite place to stay now when I go. It's not fancy because it's colonial, unique, and nostalgic of the olden times. Staff is genuine, friendly and remember you from year to year. This place feels like home as it has several places to hang outside of your room - dining too! Best place to stay centrally too as it's close to everything within walking distance, and it's a great spot to meet locals too to do anything touristy too. Hector, Mari Cruz & Carolina are the best!! The hotel dog Patrick is an extra homey feel to the place. Love Posada San Agustin! Fun fact - it used to be a hospital in the past, and many of us were born there! The history of this building is just fascinating, and you can't get that from any Americanized hotel chain. The only minus is there is no restaurant, but Casablanca (their sister hotel) is closeby and they even do room service from them."
