"So every now and again you discover a gem of a hotel, this was in that category. Just a few minutes from the motorway, easy to find, centrally located in the town, free and ample parking. On arrival in the hotel, was greeted by a very friendly young lady who checked me in, took my dinner reservation and showed me to me room. The room was a good size for one person, bed was comfortable and the room was modern, bright and well equipped. Dinner was excellent, top service, great food and reasonable...

"Buccleuch Arms is a hidden gem! We were in town for a wedding at the local castle and were so impressed. The hosts were warm and welcoming. The owner personally checked on us each morning at breakfast. The room was very clean and was our favorite we stayed in for our two week vacation. The beds were clean and comfortable. The hosts were accommodating and made sure our breakfast seats were close to the coffee pot! "
