"This is a very welcoming hotel. Ample on site parking and super dog friendly. Everyone of the staff delivered a high standard of customer service. Food is excellent. We stayed in a standard sized room which was very clean and comfortable. I will return but next time I will go for a larger room as I found the standard sized room bathroom a bit small for my large size frame ( I’m over six feet tall. ). "

"This is my 4th visit to this excellent hotel, always on a one night stay as I am taking the Carlisle to Settle train the next day (must see!). This hotel is a great place to stay, the staff are warm and welcoming, the rooms are spacious and comfortable and I always get a great nights sleep here. "A really lovely weekend at the Lakes Hotel and Spa. The Windermere Suite was amazing. Only areas of attention was no water freely available, had to queue at the bar for a glass of water so one day I was waiting 15 mins for a glass of water. I’ve never been to a spa that doesn’t have water jugs available on the side. Also the spa area got busy and a few more hooks would lead to less people using up the chairs to put their towels and robes on. A separate relaxation room for reading and lounging...

"We had an executive suite which was excellent, it was well worth the extra money for the space & the extra touches. The quality of the furnishings & the bedding were very good & the bed was very comfy, we slept so well. it was cleaned each day to the same standard, the only slight issue was the soap dispensers we not very full & we ran out of all by the second day & the one on the sink wasn`t filled, only the bath & shower, we made do as it was our last night.
