"Friendly staff, and lovely breakfast."

"So our stay started off great! Lovey spacious family room with a smart tv to watch Netflix on so kids were delighted. However at around 12.30am the couple next door decided to have a domestic and our kids got scared listening to this. Adam the night porter moved us to another room within minutes of asking him. "Staff Reception and Management were all fantastic! Our stay was at a time just after the major storm but nothing was too much. I had flown in from Portugal but the stories I heard from local people who the hotel had looked after during this awful time was amazing. Well done The Ellison. I had an amazing stay with my husband and will be booking again soon! Message to Chef! Your Angus Steak was Incredible and Cooked to Perfection ! Wow "

"Everything was really wonderful, the staff, location, public areas in hotel and the restaurants. Only thing my sister and I would have liked is that in twin bed room that the beds could be further apart. It wasn’t a problem as much as different than expected. "

"If you like a modern hotel this is not the place for you. It is full of interesting old memorabilia and history. I have never come across such personable friendly staff. Fabulous meals in both the restaurant and the cafe. "
