"I visited this hotel on business recently and I was surprised how nice it was. They had made a huge effort with the decor going up the stairs and also so really noticed all the Christmas decorations which made it feel extremely festive and seasonal. The staff were very friendly and chatty and were also extremely attentive and professional. Prices of food were on the expensive side however it was of very very good quality. "We stayed for a few nights in a 2-bedroom lodge, during October half term. We had a lovely time. As a family of four, we found the lodge to be really nicely sized. The children had their own room with 2 single beds. It was clean and we appreciated all the little things to make our life easier (tea & coffee, dishwasher tablet, etc.). We used the pool once. "The room was no 24. A junior suite. Very nice room. Warm and cosy. Bathroom had some signs if wear. Shower very slippery. Overall a nice comfy room snd comfy bed. Disappointed with menu ! Expected more choice and better quality & presentation. Great to have a breakfast cooked and not buffett. Lovely staff, pleasant & helpful."

"Absolutely perfect stay until the morning we left. There was no hot water at all so no one in the hotel could have bath /shower. Felt it was dealt with very slowly still not fixed when we checked out at 11am. Not much of an apology from front of house. "
