"This was our first time staying in Barbados and at the hotel. We had a 1-bedroom Queen suite with ocean view. Very spacious, well equipped and fabulous view overlooking the pool and ocean. Plenty of sun beds available every day; parking for our vehicle; and some great restaurants all within a short walking distance. Staff were great and we would definitely return to The South Gap. "

"Lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Food very good and varied dining options. Super ambience. Only downside is no sunbeds ever available at the pool in spite of notice saying reserving sunbeds not allowed. Many were empty all day with no one using them even after putting towels on them. Policy should be enforced."

"The staff were friendly and very accomodating, from the receptionist to the cleaning staff. The room was modern, clean and well lit. The quesadilla and burger we ordered were great as well. Even tho the property is not located on the beach, the beach is literally across the street and very convenient. I'll definitely stay at Marriott again."

"I came to the Golden sands for my husbands birthday weekend and our stay there was superb from start to finish. The staff were very accommodating esp Mechelle who helped me coordinate with decorators to set up the room for my husbands birthday surprise as well as throwing in a complimentary birthday breakfast and bottle of wine in there. The food at the restaurant attached to the hotel was also spectacular. We very much enjoyed the breadfruit coocoo with king fish as well as pudding and souse. The rooms were clean and equipt with all we needed and the location was awesome situated right across from beach and a short walk to the oistins fish fry. I highly recommend the Golden Sands hotel"

"Great all inclusive. If you're going to book at O2, make sure you book your dinner or dinners at Oro way ahead of your arrival. Excellent restaurant. The other options are great also, but Oro is the best on the resort for dinner. "

"Clean and comfortable. All rooms face sea and directly on beach. Only about 20 rooms so get to know other guests round the small pool. No evening restarraunt but serves food during day. Convenient for st Lawrence gap and food trucks at Worthing. "
