My host family took me to Lake Takerkoust (its dam powers all of Amizmiz and Marrakech) for a hike. Up here, you can see the entire floodplain and the river tributary that flows into the main lake. Far away on the other side, you can see a motorbike riding across the dirt road as if a speck of dust was slowly floating across space. As we sat and ate our picnic of fruit and veggy sticks, I couldn't help but wonder how much more Morocco is than just its stereotypical perception, a desert.

"A serene oasis! A tranquil environment to relax and recharge "

"Lovely grounds. Beautiful interior of rooms, however, not particularly private as one next to the other and poor views from the pavilions with pools at far far too high a price point for what is on offer. Staff is wonderful but asst GM and GM inattentive and lacking. "

Owner has maintained property very well and owner fortunate to have very courteous brother and sister team keeping the property in excellent shape. "Spent 3 nights here as a solo female traveller and was incredibly happy with my choice. Location is ideal, right by the airport bus stop and very close to a street with lots of good, affordable restaurant choices. The owner/manager and all staff were incredibly attentive and the dorm layout and cleanliness some of the best I've experienced. Some reviews said they struggled to find it but if you're following Google maps it's very accurate!"
