Welcome to The Catskills Retreat! This barn was built in 1900. With its own private creek and expansive backyard that overlooks 8 acres, it truly feels like your own private oasis. As you enter the house, you immediately feel at home. The historic barn has been thoughtfully transformed into an inviting space with exposed wooden beams, original wide plank floors, and a cathedral ceiling.
There are 2 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom with double sinks and double shower heads (yes, double shower heads!). This makes the house well-suited for a group of friends, two couples, or small families.
Despite its vintage charm, The Catskills Retreat is equipped with all the modern amenities you need for a comfortable stay. Prepare delicious meals in the fully equipped kitchen. Work remotely with high-speed 500 mbps Wi-Fi or watch your favorite movies or shows on the 65” flat-screen TV with every streaming platform you could need. Take a hot shower in the natural stone shower after checking out one of the gorgeous hiking trails nearby.
Head upstairs where you'll find the two bedrooms separated by an open loft area, a great place to read and relax. The first bedroom on the left has a comfy queen sized bed and a clothing rod. The second bedroom on the right has a queen size bed and has crisp, white walls that accentuate the natural light. The second bedroom also has a clothing rack and dresser. Both bedrooms have luggage racks for easy access to your clothes and a charging port for your phone.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE: Please read before you book!
- 4WD / AWD is needed in the winter months. There are windy roads in the Catskills.
- The property is located near the road. While it's not terribly busy, there are cars that pass by at 50+ mph. If you're sensitive to noise with some cars that pass by, I have provided sound machines (although there haven't been any complaints in the past).
- I charge a one-time pet fee of $50, but guests will be charged for any additional damage. Dogs are never allowed on furniture, particularly not the couch or beds.
- The house is in the countryside. Guests should be comfortable with nature as encountering wildlife / bugs / insects outdoors is part of the experience.
