The gates were what I can only describe as something you would see at a 'haunted' house in really poor condition. Our first impressions were not great as the accommodation appeared very old and run down. "Chateau Saint Trys is magnificent and unique. Simply extraordinary in every respect, including a remarkable 400-year history. Beautifully manicured grounds with excellent views. Madame de Brosses is a remarkably gracious and friendly hostess, who looked after every detail and was helpful at every turn, including making restaurant recommendations and reservations.
