"The cottage was as described and pictured except that the garden was much better than expected. By “large garden” read huge! The children loved it! The walled grass area was great for frisbees and the external garden was good for exploring. As well as this is the patio garden which is included in the pictures. The cottage itself was very clean with really luxurious bedding and towels. There are a lot of small thoughtful touches like plenty of hooks for coats and a porch which took all the boots...

"Old Kirkstead is a really nice spot which was enjoyed by kids and parents alike. We'd never been to this part of Scotland before but we'll be back for longer in the summer having only had three nights this time round. "The Stables Cottage includes a foyer, eat-in kitchen, sitting room, and bathroom with tub and shower downstairs. The two bedrooms were upstairs plus a bathroom with shower only.
