"For the price and how close it was to Helen it was a good deal. I was there after Christmas when everything in Helen was very expensive so it was worth it. We also took a day trip to Dahlonega which wasn’t too far. As far as the room it was basic but good. No complaints for the price point. I could hear loud talking through the wall but I sleep with a white noise app so it didn’t bother me. No good local food choices just basic American. I will stay again. "

"This place is great. They have added so many little touches to make the room so comfortable. We stayed in the Shenandoah Peace Suite. When we walked in we found mugs with hot chocolate to prepare, and a bottle of wine. There were other drinks available. We definitely used the fridge and the microwave. "Our room hasn't been cleaned. And from the dust and what was wiped up in the tub I don't know how long it sat empty... the carpet very clearly hadn't been vacuumed. There were crushed potato chips and other crumbs on the floor. Many stains in the carpet as well. The bed was comfy and linens in it were clean. Bath towels had stains on all of the sizes. "After Hurricane Helene, our Vrbo was destroyed along with the town of Chimney Rock, NC. We scrambled to find something with the amenities we were used to (mountains, hot tub, views, river, fireplace). This place filled the bill. Beautiful property with direct access to the Chattahoochee and hiking. Close to Helen, GA for shopping, dining and waterfalls. The only negative that we found was that the beds were super firm. May want to bring your own pillow topper."
