"Hotel was a brilliant base for a short stay to visit family. Very evident that the owners have spent a considerable sum upgrading the hotel, in areas its modern clean and finished to a lovely standard. Some retro features like our room door lock still remain but ultimately don’t matter. Great staff, great breakfast each morning. Look forward to returning in the summer!"

"We had a perfect calm, quiet and much needed break after a busy christmas period. The house is beautiful, watching the ebb and flow of the tide on the Dart was just the tonic we needed. It's also perfect for kids, the pool was (obviously!) great entertainment for them, as was the separate playroom, which had lots of toys from the residents that were available to use. The village of Dittisham is lovely, the Ferry boat pub a nice meandering walk through the village, with the closer pub doubling up as a local shop, which was particularly handy for things we'd forgotten. If you're thinking about booking, do it. You won't be disappointed. Thanks for a lovely stay"

"Chris and Dale where great. Messages were replied to within hours. On arrival there were basic supplies which was helpful as well as sweets for the kuds and a bread pudding. The beds were really comfy and everything felt and looked clean.and fresh. My daughter lives horses and was taken by Chris to meet and hreet them. Dale was always around for a friendly chat, replenish the ligs for the fire or help with any questions. Whilst the lane is a little tight and steep its managable in both vehicles and for walking. Over all we had an amazing 4 days staying at Kestrel Barn - thank you to Chris and Dale for there hospitality"
