"We loved our stay at Effect Lodge. Our room overlooked the back side of the property, including the pool. Great views and an open feel in our large room. The host was so gracious and helpful. She recommended public transportation for our visit to Old Lyon, and it worked out perfectly. She also provided direction in getting our laundry taken care of. In many ways, staying at Effect felt like being at home. Highly recommend this property!"

"Die Zimmer liegen in einem U mit Zimmertüren direkt ins Freie. Wir hasten zwei Zimmer. Leider war eines davon nicht abschließbar, das andere aufgrund eines schimmelden Kühlschranks stinkend. Dazu kamen ein verdreckter Pool, kaputte Vorhänge bzw. Klimaanlage. Am nächsten Morgen gab es dann kein Frühstück, da die Bäckerei geschlossen war. Der Kommentar der Unterkunft dazu: Ich könne mich ja a booking wenden. "

"Great location in historic neighborhood. Easy access to everywhere. Sylvie is amazing host. We contacted her about late arriving and received very nice welcoming at 11 pm. She served unbelievable breakfast every morning on time which was convenient for us. She answered all our questions and gave us a lot of information about restaurants, shopping etc. The room is clean and filled with all things that you need to feel comfortable. "This is a beautiful old chateaux-style building, which is owned and run by the family who live there. Sandrine and Frank are both excellent hosts and very friendly and welcoming. The location a beautiful country setting, next to vineyards. It is around 5 miles from the nearest large town. We decided to go out for the evening to the local town and Sandrine was so helpful in booking us a taxi and restaurant. One small tip - if you go into town it is best to drive yourself as the taxis are...
