"Loved this hotel!!! The Hotel Akureyri Dynheimar is a firm favourite; its charm and character have been preserved and enhanced by clever interior design choices. The rooms are generous and very well-fitted. Our room had a large desk, a comfy armchair, a beautiful bathroom, and a king-size bed. The heated timber floors were a nice touch. This hotel is designed for comfort, and I felt right at home as soon as I arrived. The hotel's location is neatly sandwiched between the old and new parts of the town. The hotel itself overlooks the water and is within easy walking distance of everything you could need. A lovely stop over, we only did one night here but I could have stayed forever!! "

"Lovely hotel, not too far from the centre. Opposite a nice outdoor pool with a sauna and hot tubs etc. Rooms a nice size, comfortable beds, friendly staff, good breakfast."

"We had a great winter stay. The views were sunning. Loved looking at the snow covered views from the hot tub. Star gazing and northern lights when it got dark. Plenty of space around the accommodation for the children to explore/ go sledging. Also conveniently located for whale watching from Dalvik "

"Room was excellent. Staff courteous and very attentive to needs. Not sure the hotel can do anything about it due to it being Iceland but when using the water the sulfur smell was strong and the water had a sulfur taste to it. Just used bottle water. Good location"

"The stay was lovely despite the cold outside (-14). Had one issue and someone came quickly to help, thank you. Would be very grateful if the property could email entry details proactively on the morning of arrival instead of needing to chase each time without international calls. Check in details arrived at 11pm that night. Please check your email or provide WhatsApp as we can't all call your number. "

"Igluhus was very welcoming and cozy! Lola was an excellent host and provided a delicious breakfast. Snowy so no Northern Lights, but still very worth the stay!"
