"Overall it was a good, cheap stay for a night. It's not very far from all the restaurants and bars, but it is also at the top of a fairly large hill. The facilities were nice enough. Though the tv in my room was flickering. I'd recommend if you just need a place to stay for a night or two. "

"If I could give them 8 stars out of 5 I would. This place is a gem. The owners are so welcoming and helpful and the guesthouse (which the owner designed) is beautiful. So beautifully decorated and warm and homey. The breakfast was perfect. HOMEMADE BREAD! and so many other choices. A perfect Icelandic breakfast. We are so happy we stayed there two nights. By far this was the best place we stayed at in Iceland!"

"Likes: - Nearby a shopping center that conveniently had gas, grocery store, and pharmacy in same location quiet neighborhood - Bed and bedding were comfortable - Didn’t receive check-in instructions in my email but after calling the manager was quick to send information and answer questions Dislikes: - Shower was clogged and the shower was very shallow so water filled up the shower very quickly. I had to turn off the water and wait for it to drain while showering. - Rooms had no place...

" The Salt Guesthouse is very clean, nicely updated decor. Rooms aren’t huge, but that was to be expected. Linens on the bed are bright white, clean & crisp. The whole hotel is very clean. Walls are a little thin, but guests adhere to the quiet times, so that was no problem. Some very nice dining options close by, everything is very walkable. The drive here was spectacular! I’d recommend this place. "

Suggest owner to provide driving direction in description, particularly provides GSP point of drive load from route 76. 2) The house has too much flying insects in bedroom in summer."
