"There's no doubt that The Boat Inn is a lovely, traditional pub in a super location, right on the banks of the Wye with good views of the river from the bedrooms above the pub. The surroundings are wooded and distinctly bosky, which is nice. There is a small village (Redbrook) with a village shop a few hundred metres away across an old railway bridge. The Boat serves excellent food, but only on certain days - Thursday to Sunday, from memory. BUT beware of the journey there, from the main roads:...

Just a few points to improve guest experience would be: (1) door lock (the key lock is not tightly attached to the door and moves round when you try to unlock); (2) cleaning (overall cleaning was all right but we found an empty water bottle on top of the fridge); and (3) up-to-date photos of the property (quite a few items you see in the photos here have been replaced with new ones)."
