Main road through Arenas is very long and windy. Beware of where satnav trys to route you, unmade single track roads, steep hills with sharp bends and no barriers between you and the drop. I would advise staying on tarmac!"

"Gorgeous house high in the hills. Lovely pool & house well equipped. The 2 restaurants close by were very welcoming with good food. Everything else is a drive away, although regular walkers/ hikers will probably disagree! The Olive Mill in Comares has fantastic food & brilliant staff - I had a medical emergency while there & they were amazing contacting the emergency services - all through Google translate. "We are a family of 4 (kids aged 10 and 4 years old) and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this house. It is spacious and very clean. Although rustic this house is very well equipped with everything you could need. The air conditioning in the bedrooms is excellent and welcome on hot evenings. The pool and the surrounding area are fabulous. Very clean and well maintained. The views are spectacular and well worth the short journey up the hill. We had no problems at all and would love to return here...
