5/5 Excellent
"Lovely new hotel on the beach with stunning views of Lake Michigan from our balcony. Staff were professional and very hospitality oriented. I give this property an A+. My only negative comment would be that breakfast was the same old plasticized breakfast you find at any other big box hotel (I.e. many food items packed in plastic, paper plates, plastic cups, and plastic utensils ). Also, even though we arrived the breakfast area early, they were out of everything. The woman operating the breakfast area said the food truck hadn’t arrived yet. so there was no tea, no yogurt, no milk, 1 brown banana, etc. The breakfast was dismal and disappointing. Honestly, I would stay here again, and again …. I love the location. But for a very special breakfast, and with less plastic, would eat downtown in the Main Street area. Hampton Inn, you make a great point of telling guests how green you are and you really encourage us to not use throwaway shampoo and soap containers in the guest rooms and encourage use to use our towels over again. But yet you use heaps of plastic in your breakfast room. It’s really a contradiction."
