"The cottage is a former "garage-barn" (2 floors) that's been lovingly re-crafted into a cottage that's nicely decorated with sea-themed and comfy decor. The locale is great if you'd like to ditch your car and walk to restaurants; and bike on nearby trails! We are only cautioning that IF you plan to cook your own meals, the kitchen set-up is on the 2nd floor with the bedroom. "Stayed for a longweekend in November. The cottage by the sea is literally right on the sea, the views are breathtaking, the sunrise gorgeous and we were lucky to have beautiful weather. The host thought of everything, the cottage has everything you need to make a wonderful stay. Would definitely return. Rockland is about a 15 min drive and a great place to visit."

"This was a beautiful place to stay and had more parking than we expected. The only hiccups we had was that the check in code we were given was one digit off from what it actually was so we had a little trouble getting into the house. Also there is an outlet that was uncovered in the bedroom and we had a child touch it. "Our family loved the access to the water! We had a blast playing and fishing on the lake. We also appreciated the ease of check in and the quick response from the host to any questions or issues we had. We knew that this was a cottage or camp so did not expect something fancy or super modern. It fit our needs very well."

"This beautiful cabin was cozy and modern, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully well-equipped. Everything we needed was provided. Multiple places inside and outside for gathering and relaxing; a cute kitchen with all the necessities; and the super-efficient wood stove was easy to use. The house was in a perfect location with access to the water and kayaks/paddle boards. We spent a lot of time on the patio enjoying the view and using the fire pit. "My dad and I stayed here four nights. It's rather small, but it has pretty much everything you need. The outside shower is enjoyable. The bathroom door has a ~5" gap to the floor, so you don't get much privacy from the main area. The upstairs bed is comfy and very wide. The owners are friendly and quick to respond to messages. Apart from boothbay harbor, consider visiting the botanical gardens which are pretty close to this cottage."
