"I didn’t realize that the property was far from the strip. Expedia said 18 min walk but the walk is down many streets. There are no restaurants nearby, we had to hop in the car to get anywhere. It was a close drive to carvoeiro downtown and a good location to do hiking but everything must be accessed with a car. "Honestly when I read the reviews about this place after my husband booked, I was very sceptical. People said it was dirty, had cockroaches, no hot water. None of this was true. The huge private roof terrace with spectacular views is wonderful. "This property is lovely and perfectly situated in the heart of the village. Whilst there are bars with live music very close by, it didn't keep us awake at night. The terrace area of the apartment is fantastic - it's really big with enough room for sunbeds. The town of Olhos de Agua is tiny (population 4,000 approx.), but the locals are very nice.
