"Oak House was actually closed for refurbishment and management didn't have the decency to advise me despite having made an advance reservation for the Honeymoon Suite for several months! Additionally I called before making the 2 hour journey to get confirmation of secure parking and STILL was not advised that Oak House was closed for refurbishment! "The hotel has a small number of rooms sharing a bathroom plus chalets with en-suite accommodation and some further chalets away from the complex and in the bush where zebra and impala are a regular sight. It is off the beaten track so a car is essential and there are no other restaurants apart from the hotel's nearby. The staff are attentive and eager to please and we were thoroughly looked after. There is a reasonable sized swimming pool on site."

"Overall we were only there for one night and one day of fantastic pampering. It was very nice. The spa therapist gave me the best massage I have ever had - and I have had a few. The road to the lodge could be better but this is not in the control of the spa owners. A mix up with the booking resulted in us missing our evening meal. Carmen did however provide and impromptu meal which was lovely."
