"We booked and paid for 8 nights in advance but stayed for just 4 nights and found a better place in Grand World. Closer to the beach. The property managers were nice and helpful but not very generous with giving us a refund for the days we didn’t stay. We found the area poor in the choices of restaurants and stores. The restaurants only open after 11am in the mornings, surprising for a tourist oriented area. But that was consistent even in other areas of Phu Quoc. "

"택시로 공항에서 15분정도거리 에위치 외관은 옛날시골 집처럼괞찮음 방도괞찬고 그런데 샤워할려고 수도꼭지를 돌리는순간 흙탕물이 나옴 그래서 2~30분 틀어놓으니 맑은 물이나와서 샤워를 할수있었다. 위치는 도로옆이고 주변에 식당들은 많았다. 주변야경은 인터넷에서 본거와 생판다름 별로다. 아침식사는 쌀국수인데 맛이없다"

"Family business run by lovely hosts. There is a couple that runs the hotel and they are very attentive and polite. They offered me Christmas dinner on Christmas eve and the young son of the owener, which the hotel is named after, gave Christmas cards to all the guests which I thought was a lovely touch. Breakfast is very decent. If you like to be a bit more tacked away from the city but still not too far, I would definately reccomend this place. The mum is such a character, doesn't speak a word...

"Accommodation was clean and basic - great if all you care about is the beach (which we did). However, the staff did not speak English and in addition they were absent most of the time during our 6 night stay. Shower was cold most of the time but again after a hot day on the beach not so much of a bad thing."

"Cute little hostel that's right in the centre of everything. It's a 5-10 min walk to the night market. When I booked this hostel, I thought it was right by the beach. However, you do have to walk a little bit and go through another hotel's entrance to get to the beach. When I first arrived at the other hotel's entrance, I thought I wasn't allowed there and returned back. It can be a little confusing to find. "A very secluded place...walking through narrow streets at night was scary. Low fee, but the taxi driver that lives there overcharged me for his service. A beautiful island, friendly people, but sad to see so much trash all over the beaches."

"Was really happy with this family run guest house that i stayed in for my last night in Phu Quoc before flying out. Incredibly helpful family members, room was impeccably clean (although towels and sheets although perfectly laundered, both had few wear-n-tear stains). Bathroom was spotless (which made me so happy), and hot water and shower worked perfectly. WiFi worked very well also so managed to get a lot of work done. "Night market right across where you have plenty of food choices....lots of seafood and rolled ice cream! Very helpful in helping us rent a motor bike to tour the island. Easy access to beach. We even did a candle making workshop. Great mini vacation for us!"

"It’s an amazing hotel, we went to Phu quoc to stay at the Regent. We stayed on Their normal room with a sea view is huge, really big, clean, high quality finishing. After couple of days we changed our room to Pool Villa with Terrace. We stayed in many high class hotels around the world but this room “Pool villa with terrace” was the best one ever. Pool in the room is very big and trees around provides amazing shade. Bathroom, living room bedroom are all exceptional. Public pool in the hotel are nice there are 4 of them 2 of them in the roof top and 1 roof top pool is adults only but that didn’t matter for us as the other roof top pool also very nice which is for families too. Only one think I want to give review on, lunch was a bit of problem, Rice Market only has a dinner menu which is too much for a lunch time after having a big breakfast (pastries are amazing), so you only have one lunch option which is Oceans restaurant also has the same menu with dinner time. It would be really ideal if they changed the menu do more snacks and small appetizers for lunch time. Also has 2 bars and both adult only. We like to go to bars during our holiday we couldn’t because we have a child. I think there should be another bar for everyone. It’s often on this kind of hotels kids are allowed anywhere. Other than these 2 points. I definitely recommend it. It’s perfect in every way. "
