"This place was a great place for us to stay on our vacation. Secluded outside of the city, and a short drive down a gravel road, it really feels that you're lost in the woods, but in a good way. If you're up to visit the Gunks, Angry Orchard, the Hudson river, love the beauty of the outdoors, and have other family or friends to visit in the area, definitely consider this home. Host was very responsive and had everything ready for us."

"The home was very clean and had everything we needed - snacks games and a cute patio. The internet was iffy and never worked to stream on the bedroom tv. They came and checked it , but it didn’t improve. The host was very responsive and offered to ship an item our daughter left. We would rent again. "

"Our stay at Gersende's property was delightful. We had seven friends together for a wedding and this house and property served as a much appreciated comfortable and peaceful retreat. The pool was lovely, the kitchen was well-stocked and functional and the homes quirks and charm grew on us a little more each day. "The neighborhood was clean, upscale, and beautifully kept. It came with Candlewood Beach access. The second story suite was gorgeous, clean, and well apportioned. The bed was comfortable. The whole house was well maintained and a wonderful,"homey" feel to it. The Hostess was friendly, cheerful, and very accommodating. The house is on the hillside leading to Lake Candlewood. As can be imagined, the views from the windows were outstanding."

"This house does have a lovely view that allowed us to take in the changing leaves off the reflection of the lake. The house is smaller than it appears in the photos and not quite as comfortable to just hang out, at least inside.The couch fits three, but there aren't other chairs in the living area. There are great little outside areas though. Communication with Katherine was great. Previous tenants had broken the washer which was a drag and due to weather (drought conditions) we couldn't use...
