"Our room had recently been refurbished and may also have been an upgrade (ask for room numbers 10-16). Facilities and decor were excellent, with a walk-in shower, comfortable bed and free parking. We didn’t have dinner in the hotel but the restaurant was very busy. Breakfast was included in the room rate and was of a good standard. Staff were friendly and professional so we would have no hesitation in recommending the Royal Hotel."

The room was excellent, quiet and comfortable and the fact that we could take our well behaved dog was why we chose to stay. The bar and dining options available make this a great place to stay. 5 star breakfast and evening meal."
