"The location was beautiful and quiet. We were looking for an older home with charm, so this fit the bill for our group of eight. The downstairs bed / bath worked well for 80+ year old dad with arthritic knees. The bedroom suite upstairs was helpful for the older couple with us too, for privacy and nighttime bathroom trips. We all appreciated the stock of flavored coffee and the hot chocolate in the kitchen! Loved the fact that we could all convene comfortably in both dining room and living room....

"We were a family of 6 adults for the long weekend and loved having the 4 queen beds for a great night sleep. The TV is surreal. The pots and pans were a chefs dream as no flaking Teflon and no sticking food. Loved the full sized washer dryer with our outdoor activities of hiking, boating at Sutton lake (don’t bother fishing there) and fishing on the Elk river where the bass were plentiful. We will be back"

"Loved the property and the hosts. Perfect place for us to research genealogy for Clay, Nicholas, and Braxton counties. This was a very hot week so my only suggestion is to install window AC units in the upstairs bedrooms because it was very difficult to sleep at night with the only AC unit upstairs being in the upstairs bathroom."

"This home is cozy, clean, well stocked, and next to the Greenbriar Trail. The living areas are roomy and the kitchen is big. The front porch with fire pit was wonderful after a long day of biking.
